Hello everyone!
This week went pretty well. I got to go on exchanges with an elder in our zone this last week. It was Elder Rivera over in Mandaluyong! he is a super funny Filipino elder. He just made the exchange really fun. We had a sweet lesson with a man named Cody Murphey. He is actually from Hawaii so he only spoke English, which was really weird because it was my first time teaching in straight English. It was actually a sweet experience though! I talked a lot about my conversion whit\ him and I really felt that he appreciated that and it helped him to know more about the sincerity we have as missionaries when it comes to the gospel and the church! After teaching him about the restoration, Elder Rivera and I just both bore our testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. My testimony was strengthened so much just from bearing my testimony to brother Murphey and helping him to know how much I love this gospel. We also had more great lessons with the Enciso family. They are really coming along great. Sister Enciso was still struggling a little big with coming to church because her family might not like that. However, we were able to share testimony about how much this gospel can bless the family and it really helped her a lot. We were able to finally set a date for them to be baptized next month! they accepted and so now it is just about doing the right things to help get them to be ready by that date. I know this gospel is true. I know it can bless our lives. I know it is the only gospel that can help us have full happiness now and after this life. I am so grateful to be a missionary and that I have the blessing to share his gospel to others!
Elder Stephens
PS. Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!
