April 21, 2014

Hey there all!

Happy Easter!! I know that my Redeemer lives! Jesus is the Christ, I have no doubt in my mind. I absolutely love Him! I love this time of the year because everyone really shows their love for Christ and just makes everything seem better. I love it! Last week was great. Elias was baptized on Saturday!! It was so nice and the baptismal service went great! We had a ton of people there and everyone was just supporting Elias along with another person baptized who the sisters in our ward are teaching. President and Sister Stucki came to the baptism as well and they said that it was a really good one! Elias also got confirmed the next day of course, AND THEN, he got the priesthood!! I was stoked. He is going to be an awesome member, I can already tell. We have seen some real progression with our investigator, Raymond. He had a bunch of questions and they were questions that only our bishop could answer, since they regarded some cultural things here in the Philippines. So anyway, he came to church and talked to Bishop Espi and when he was done talking to him, he came to us and was wayyyy happy! He said it was great talking to bishop and he learned so much and felt his love. Bishop Espi is the man. So Raymond is really starting to progress so much and we will continue to pray and fast that he will get baptized! Tomas, a less active member of 10 years, came to church for the first time this last Sunday! He was so happy to finally be back and he also talked to our bishop and they are going to work on getting his records back into the church because they were some how lost. I am super excited for him because I can feel that he really wants to repent and come back into the fold of God. I love it. We met this guy named Roy, he is from Alabama. Right after he said he was from Alabama, he said, "Roll Tide" in a low Alabama man accent. I t was sweet. I just thought I would let you all know about that. Last Thursday, April 17 was Elder Belnap's birthday!! He is finally 21. We got so much cool stuff for his birthday. We got a cake from the Stucki's, a cake and dinner at a Chinese place with some of our members, and we got a while bunch of food from the people we taught after we said it was his birthday. Super good day in my opinion. It is sweet having a companion because on their birthday, you get all the good food just like they do. I love this work! I again testify that our Savior lives. Through His atonement, we can be cleansed of our sins, and we can all live again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. I know this work is His work. I can't testify of Him enough! I know He loves us. I love my Savior!!
